Caught up with some recent favorite images…And, rather than a theme, thought I’d post some variety.
Wishing everyone (in the States) a Happy Thanksgiving. We’re kicking off the Holiday with the Rolling Stones concert at Dodger Stadium tonight! Need-less-to-say, my favorite Stones album – Tattoo You – has garnered heavy rotation here at the Anderson digs the past few days.

75 degrees at sunset…sandy toes…the smell of the sea…salty lips. Nothing beats Family time on a late November Sunday afternoon at the beach.

Run rather than hurt, hurt rather than maim, maim rather than kill, kill rather than be killed. That’s the one rule of thumb I recall from my long-ago Tae Kwon Do days. It’s a philosophy I hope they still teach, as Ethan is clearly a gentle soul…and training in the martial arts (in my opinion) reiforces a life on non-violence and avoidance sensibilities. Most exciting of all (because he looks so darn cute) Ethan adds the “Dobak” to his growing collection of traditional Korean clothing. The Dobak is his Tae Kwon Do uniform. He also has his “Hanbok” (literally means Korean Dress) that travelled with him from Korea, which he wore for his one-year-old photo shoot.
The white color of his Dobak symbolizes his “oneness with the universe.” Not sure about the trains though…hard for him to make a fist with Percy and Thomas the Tank Engine in his grip….but they might come in handy when he breaks his first board.

We had a great time this past weekend with our friends the Greene’s up at their beautiful Bass Lake vacation home (one of Central California’s many popular vacation spots). Photo highlights included Yosemite and the Sugar Pine Railroad trip.
To learn more about the Bass Lake area..click here. And, feel free to post a comment if you’re interested in renting a great 3 bedroom house for a Bass Lake getaway (the Greene’s have a wonderful home, and great rental rates…2 minute walk from the Lake, with stunning views).

They say that laughter is the human gift to reducing stress and diffusing conflict. In fact, “laughing” even has its own profession. Here in Southern California , there are numerous Laughter Psychotherapists (which in itself is ripe territory for a joke or two).
Anyhow, the other night Gia and I snuck away for a two-hour date. We were walking along Heisler Park in Laguna Beach and heard a roar of laughter. Cackles and boisterous belly laughs would be an understatement…these people sounded like they had unearthed the world’s best joke. We had to investigate. As we followed the sounds of laughter, we noticed a big white sheet on the beach, spray-painted with the words "Laguna Beach Laughter Club.” Next to the sign was a small group of adults, laughing hysterically. Some were dancing in circles, waving their arms in the air, giggling away. There appeared to be an agenda. Together they would hold hands in a circle, and all of a sudden break out into hysterics. We watched-on for about 15-minutes. Needless-to-say, we were soon laughing ourselves. It felt good.
I did a google search and learned that the Laguna Beach Laughter Club meets weekly (Sunday) on the beach. Check ‘em out for a good laugh (they didn’t seem to mind the onlookers).
