Gia is now 20 weeks pregnant (and looking awesome, I must say). And we’re thrilled to have recently learned…it’s a boy! Ethan and Ella are enjoying singing songs to him…and “playing with their little brother” by driving trains and dancing dolls on Gia’s belly…ever so gently.
According to our pregnancy calendar, he’s about the length of a zucchini, and his brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch.
I’m a podcast junkie. Currently I subscribe to 30+…mostly covering the topics of photography, business, music, Apple and parenting. I even recently got Gia hooked (”Hip Tranquil Chick” and “Yoga Peeps” are among her favorites).
So, I was especially stoked today to learn of Ron Dawson’s entry into podcasting with F-Stop Beyond. Best of all, his debut episode includes interviews with two of my favorite photographers (Dane Sanders and Jasmine Star). I’m thrilled to add F-Stop Beyond to my Podcast playlist, and am looking forward to all the great content and insights Ron shares with our industry.
This past Friday marked a day I’ll never forget — I’m so grateful to Gen and Sagar for the opportunity to capture and document their joyous union. I feel honored and blessed to have witnessed and been included in the joining of their families and cultures.
Gen and Sagar are the type of couple that are instantaneously likable, and their enthusiasm is contagious. I knew their wedding was going to be remarkable from the moment we met back in April and they briefed me on all the plans – which included Hindu and Western ceremonies. The South Coast Winery and Resort proved to be a gorgeous venue. The views were spectacular – the grounds of the resort offered a plethora of photographic backdrops – and the warm sunset cast an awesome light on the vineyards. It was also great to have my friend Shyla on-hand as a second shooter. We fell into a great rhythm – taking-up complimentary shooting positions and capturing a wide array of decisive moments throughout the day.
I’ve just begun to edit the images, but here are a few that stood out as early favorites. Congratulations Gen and Sagar!

I love these following images that Shyla captured…
What a great collection of outtakes from the making of the Pictage Partner Conference LA video. Nothing like seeing worldclass photographers and our Pictage top brass in “rare” form…
Found a tranquil lily/lotus pond while doing a recent portrait shoot at Soka University. Gia saw the images and is going to use one for the packaging of a really cool meditation CD she’s creating for her yoga students. But she can’t decide which image to use…want to help her chose? Which do you prefer?
