“The workaholic lives on fear…the passionate worker shows up because it’s a hobby that pays.”
-Seth Godin
I like that…a hobby that pays. I also dig Seth’s observations regarding people who work on passion and curiosity, not fear.

So we have officially entered “baby watch” mode, and Team Anderson is ready and on alert (including Carole and Kari - our awesome Doulas).
With the clock ticking, I have been aiming my camera on Gia and her belly as often as possible. Here are some recent results…stay tuned to this space for more photos and baby updates!

One of our new year resolutions is to spend more time at the beach. This image was made on the first day of this new year.

Among the many creative talents worth watching within the ad agency circles is Alex Bogusky of Crispin Porter + Bogusky. Among the few magazines worth reading is Fast Company. Among the people I personally don’t pay much attention to is Paris Hilton. Well they’ve all come together in a very interesting interview here. Bogusky enlightens us on how “Paris Hilton is some sort of branding Genius.” I never would have made the connection, but he makes a good argument…definitely worth a read.(Thank you A Photo Editor blog for the heads-up)
Ella and I found a mirror and captured a quick self portrait at her Princess Ballet Birthday party…

Meet “Monty” the Mantis. Ethan found this critter on the front porch a few weeks ago. We set him up at the “Anderson Inn”…providing a nice enclosed habitat and a slew of crickets. The kiddos enjoyed watching Monty hunt and attack the crickets…cheering him on every time (Gia, on the other hand, wasn’t diggin’ it too much). Having Monty around for a few days provided the opportunity for some insect lessons as well. We learned that his spiked forelegs are called “raptorial legs,” and that his head can rotate up to 300 degrees - a feat we witnessed a few times, very cool!
