This was an exciting image to make, as the cloud cover was intense.
And the clearing just below the heavy marine layer practically served as a natural fill flash on the rocks.

Amber and Benjamin – Congratulations, and welcome back from your honeymoon! What an amazing wedding. It was such an honor and joy to meet all of your family and friends – especially after hearing you speak so highly of everyone leading up to your big day. Every detail of your ceremony + reception was exquisite, and it was such a thrill to photograph.
I still have a bit of editing to do, but wanted to post a few favorites that have caught my eye. I’ll no doubt be posting more as I sort through the Tea Ceremony and reception images (some very special and fun ones indeed!)
Thank you both so much for your friendship and trust – and for sharing your beautiful day. I can’t wait for you to see all the images – very soon!
(Note to Amber & Benjamin’s family, friends and guests: Register here to view the wedding photos when ready).
* Amber and Benjamin assembled an amazing crew of professionals for their wedding, and it was a privilege to work alongside them. A very special thanks goes to my 2nd photographer for the day, Leo Flores – a gifted photographer with a brilliant eye.

Reception music and emcee by Roland Garcia of Check it Out DJ Services
Ceremony: Trump National Golf Club
Reception Venue – Empress Harbor Seafood Restaurant
Here are just a handful of some of my favorites captured by Leo:

The latest addition to the Ocean Abstracts series…I’m diggin’ the tranquility of this image, combined with the hint of momentum in the water.

As you may notice, the blog is currently undergoing some design construction (non-branded colors, fonts, layouts, etc). I’ve been hearing from many that the comments section wasn’t working (on the previous design) as well a lot feedback on functionality — i.e., the header and other sections not opening, or looking “quite funky.”
So, the design will be swithing back and forth the next few days as I get everything ironed out and running smoothly. Thanks to those that have sent me e-mails about the design problems, and thanks to all for hanging in there with me.

Congratulations to Dane Sanders on the launch his new book, Fast Track Photographer. Every so often a book comes along that is “important”…and Fast Track Photographer clearly falls into this category. Dane is one of the most inspiring people I’ve met – and a role model for the wedding/portrait photography industry. With Fast Track Photographer Dane shares his wisdom in an eloquent and engaging style. Check it out.
