Sorting through forgotten hard drives, and realizing that I want to bring so many of these lost images into the real world. So, one by one, just added this image to my “to-print” folder.
In the meantime…
Of note: These creative pros are doing some inspiring work over at This Must Be The Place.
“THIS MUST BE THE PLACE is a series of short films that explore the idea of home; what makes them, how they represent us, why we need them. There’s no place like home. It’s where we live, work and dream. It’s our sanctuary and our refuge. We can love them or hate them. It can be just for the night or for the rest of our lives. But whoever we may be, we all have a place we call home.”
The cloudless sky of Palm Springs over Korakia Pensione earlier this week provided some dramatic shadows and lines. This particular window caught my eye one early morning (located by the pool of the Mediterranean Villa). I patiently awaited the early afternoon light and shadow to fall across the lower portion of the window for some stark contrast (I had a black and white print in mind the minute I first noticed the composition).
As for the chair…I spent a lot of time on it reading, as seen in this exact location just outside our Aegean Bungalow. It’s a lot more comfortable than it appears.
Thank you Korakia, we’ll be back very soon.
