Finally found time to make some images of my own family today. Ella put on my cap for a few…this is personal favorite.
I dig. You may as well.

Sometimes the best locations are within a mile of one’s home. I saw this image-in-the-making while filling my car with gas at the corner Chevron (this tree is just cross the street). Rushed home, grabbed my camera, and made it back to find the early morning fog still in play.
A few resulting exposures and compositions…this is my favorite so far.
The cloudless sky of Palm Springs over Korakia Pensione earlier this week provided some dramatic shadows and lines. This particular window caught my eye one early morning (located by the pool of the Mediterranean Villa). I patiently awaited the early afternoon light and shadow to fall across the lower portion of the window for some stark contrast (I had a black and white print in mind the minute I first noticed the composition).
As for the chair…I spent a lot of time on it reading, as seen in this exact location just outside our Aegean Bungalow. It’s a lot more comfortable than it appears.
Thank you Korakia, we’ll be back very soon.
