This film, created and produced by Ron Dawson of Dare Dreamer Media, perfectly captures the emotion and creative energy of PartnerCon 2009, New Orleans. It is such an honor both serve, and be a part of, this amazing community of professional photographers/artists and friends.
Planning is well underway for PartnerCon 2010!
Save the date: November 16-18, 2010 New Orleans

Two people I dig — Joe McNally and Miki Johnson – on the topic of blogging. Joe is an internationally acclaimed photographer and longtime photojournalist. Miki is a former senior editor with American Photo Magazine, and is currently editor of Resolve (in addition to the many other social media initiatives she manages for Livebooks).
I really enjoyed this interview. Some great insights on the topic of blogging and the photography profession.

Our oldest son (7 years old) has started to “inquire” about video games…specifically wondering why so many of his friends are into them, and if we too should re-consider bringing a game console or two into our household fold.
For the time being, we’re sticking to books and music (although I did allow him to set up a “supervised” Twitter account, and that hasn’t seemed to ruin his “more cultured interests” as of yet). I’m not sure how much longer we’ll stay “video game free” (I’ll admit, the Wii fitness is a consideration). However, this piece titled, “Immersion” visually sums up our fears.
What’s your take? Would love to hear from both Gamer and Non-Gamer parents alike.

I love this. Amtrak police arrest a man for taking photographs for Amtrak’s very own sponsored photo contest.
Beyond the comedic genius of Colbert and Comedy Central’s writing crew — this clearly illustrates the challenges photographers (professional and amateur alike) are facing in today’s environment. I understand and respect valid security concerns with regards to the usage of cameras and photography. Yet, as the Colbert Report has so eloquently illustrated, we just “may” have crossed the line.
